Layered Paintings
"Layered Paintings" are constructed paintings using sheets of wood, metal, and glass. The assembled layers are raised and have shapes cut out to expose multiple painting surfaces. Abstract compositions are then painted on the manipulated surfaces. These paintings are very sculptural to create depth and space, yet framed and painted using traditional methods, thus linking two and three dimensional art.
